DiGi, a leading Malaysia’s telcos engaged us to help them launch a social media aggregator that could be easily accessed through mobile SMS, mobile WAP and the internet. This aggregator integrated with a range of sites including Facebook, Friendster, YouTube, Hi5 , Twitter and others allowing users to synchronize their social media account updates through a single point and click of a button!
We ran a recruitment program inviting Malaysian ‘Social media-philes’ to apply for Project 500 – a secret project – the details for which would only be revealed to the successful applicants. Using our Groundswell(tm) Influencer screening tool we selected the most powerful influencers as beta testers for the aggregator and Project500 was born.
This exclusive group of 500 was given privileged access to the tool and the team; and a program was put in place for them to test, evaluate and provide feedback via our VOC Survey tool
Using the feedback from the P500 community DiGi fine-tuned its aggregator to ready it for launch.
In parallel we engaged the community to co-create the brand, coming up with the name and choosing the logo.
For the public launch the Project500 community were engaged to promote the site and refer their friends. We built a platform that allowed people to generate their own personal links that they could use to promote the site – through which we could track the clicks and registrations. A leader board showing the activity is displayed as a Facebook application on the Weeave Fanpage we developed for the brand.
